2024 Spring Book Fair
March 11 - March 15, 2024
Co-Coordinators: Angela Vawter & Karen Keen
The PTA is thrilled to bring back this student favorite event!
This year's book fair will be hosted by Literati Book Fairs.
Exciting news!
Mount Washington Elementary School's Literati Online Companion Fair is now open!
In-Person Book Fair Experience
This year's book fair will work a bit differently than years past. Classrooms will only have one visit during instructional time to PREVIEW the book fair and make their wish lists. The visits will be 30 minutes per class. For most classes, this PREVIEW time will happen during their normal library time. Other classes have bumped up their PREVIEW time to earlier in the week to give their students a chance to make their wish lists. Only LAUSD approved parent volunteers are cleared to help in the library during class PREVIEWS as it is during instructional time. Please choose a shift or two on this Sign-Up Genius if you are an LAUSD Approved Volunteer. If you are not sure if you are an LAUSD approved volunteer, please check with the office.
All PURCHASES will need to be made during non-instructional time. i.e. during lunch recess or after school. Parents volunteering to help with PURCHASES during lunch recess and after school do not need to be an LAUSD approved volunteer. These parent volunteers need only sign in and out through the office. Interested in volunteering? Please choose a shift or two on this Sign-Up Genius.
ALL volunteers receive a 20% discount on their purchases.
We have been working hard to make a plan we hope feels equitable, accommodating and provides a special experience for the teachers and students alike. We've done our best to identify purchase opportunities for all grades during lunch recess.
Please check out this link for information on setting your student up with a digital gift card. Be sure you look over your child's wish list and send them with the correct amount of funds to purchase the agreed upon books. They may purchase their items with a digital gift card (please print out) or cash sealed in an envelope with their name, the amount enclosed and room # written on the front.
