The Accelerated Reader program combines the best children's literature with intuitive software that tests reading comprehension. The software also manages all student records and tracks reading performance. It is based on a foundation of self-paced, individualized reading. Each student selects his or her own reading material.
After reading the book, students work through a computerized multiple-choice test that assesses reading comprehension. Accelerated Reader provides an instant score and immediate reinforcement in a way that's both encouraging and fun for students.
